The Art of Kissing

The Art of Kissing

The Art of Kissing

The Art of Kissing is one that takes time to develop. If one approaches it hesitatingly, it can seem too lacking. If one approaches it too ardently, it can be intrusive. There’s no instruction manual on it either, which makes things rather difficult if you’re not naturally a good kisser. Kissing, like all things good, is best done when love is involved.

How

One must keep their lips relaxed, and not venture any further than what is invited by either party. Deep kisses must be ventured into only once a series of smaller kisses have occurred.  Too much too soon is akin to being raped, especially when one partner is aggressively intruding upon the other partner’s mouth with their tongue.

Hygiene

It is important too, that breath hygiene is kept to a high quality. Brush your teeth regularly, and use mints if you don’t have fresh breath. A great way to keep your teeth and gums free of plaque is to use Peroxide when brushing your teeth. This will not only whiten your teeth, but it will restore gums that have receeded due to gum disease.

Having

A kiss’s value is determined by the one from whom it is given, not by the one on whom it lands. Which, if it needs any explanation, means the following. That it is the man who ardently desires the kiss that puts the value upon that kiss, not the woman of whom it is desired.  Yet women know that, as with commodities, so with kisses. The greater the rarity, the greater the value. The rare kiss that lingers is worth so much more than the one that is given regularly.  A cheek that is surreptitiously brushed in the dark is preferable to lips willingly pressed by day.

Honour

A man who is besotted with a particular woman will go to huge lengths and a multitude of maneuvers to gain just one kiss! There seems to be no limit to the value of that kiss to the man who desires it!  But once gained, the woman is no longer unkissed and the determined effort of that quest may lose value thereafter. Save your kisses for those who have proven themselves to be honourable in their intentions.

Hope

The kisses given may have been between friends; thereafter they may still be. But who shall say to what kissing may lead? Besides, much more kissing than is meant to occur happens by purchase than by favour.  All which, probably, will be Greek to the uninitiated. Nevertheless, and at all times, and in all places, a kiss is like faith: it is “the evidence of things not seen, the substance of things hoped for.”

Hurt

How appalling the immensity of the results due to the minutest of causes – a burning city from a lighted match; a life-long tragedy from a stolen kiss! In truth, Fate is often another name for Folly.

A woman who is afraid of a kiss knows much.  Amongst other things, perhaps, that kisses, like misfortunes, rarely come singly—and bear many things in their train.

Happiness

It takes two to make a quarrel.  Yes: and it takes two to make the reconciliating kiss.
