Failed Seduction
This is the story of a failed seduction. It is the story of a predator named John who failed in his attempt to get me drunk for the purpose of having sex with me. It’s a story that I’d like to share with you all that I believe young women can learn from.
It was a Sunday, and I had just been shopping at the supermarket in the city, and was sitting at the bus stop talking to a man whom I frequently see when I’m out and about. He’s a very knowledgeable man, one whom I enjoy talking with, and he’s always been the perfect gentleman. He’s not the predator in my story, but he’s part of the story. He was standing leaning against the frame of the bus shelter, and I was seated on the bench. This gentleman’s name is William.
A guy who appeared to be about 8 years younger than me walked up to us and began listening to our conversation. In the first break that occurred in the conversation I’d been having with William, he made a comment about my fiery red hair saying that the aboriginals would say “that woman is on fire.” I laughed, which he took as an invitation to sit down next to me, between myself and where William was standing. I did not know the guy, nor did William, but myself being of a friendly nature, I allowed him to join in with the conversation. I’ve worked in positions of management and know how to deal with men in a way where I don’t feel intimidated by them, so I wasn’t fazed by this stranger taking it upon himself to sit with us. He introduced himself as John, and I thought that he was someone that knew William because he seemed so comfortable with both of us. I shared some snack biscuits with the newcomer, and he took out an unopened can of mixed drink and gave it to me saying that he was returning the favour.
The only thing I noticed about the drink was that it was a Jim Beam mix of Coca Cola and Bourbon, although I wouldn’t realise until much later what level of alcohol was in the mix. I didn’t take any notice of the name of the drink and began sipping it, and because I have a sweet tooth this drink appealed to my taste in alcohol. I rarely drink, but when I do it’s always a sweet tasting alcoholic wine or mixed drink. I never drink dry wine or bitter flavours like beer. If ever I have a beer it’s always a Shandy, never a full strength beer.
So the conversation went along quite well, William bringing up the topic of Politics as well as other events that have been major news in the last fifteen years. My bus arrived and the newcomer asked if he could travel with us. I said fine, seeing as William was also with me.
I got off at the stop that is closest to home, and the newcomer asked if we could chat a bit further. There is a chicken / coffee shop with tables and chairs outside of it at the stop that I get off at, so I said “Okay, we can sit at one of the tables and chat.” I had no intention of inviting this guy into my home. My first can of drink had been finished by now and so when I sat down, John gave me another can. That was when I noticed the name of the drink – Devil’s Cut – and started to wonder what was going on here.
My teacher Stuart Wilde (who has been my spiritual teacher for the last 27 years), says that life always gives you clues as to what is going on. You just have to read the signs when you see them. So when I saw the name of the drink on the outside of the can, I took note to be more cautious with this guy. I still hadn’t noticed what percentage of alcohol was in the drink yet. That would come later.
Anyway, one of my cats whose name is Shadow had been missing for more than a month, and a neighbour whom had seen him around came looking for me to tell me that Shadow was in his backyard. So I got up immediately to go and try to catch him. John followed me. When I arrived at my neighbour’s house and began calling for Shadow, John told me he was going to walk to the local shopping village and buy some more alcohol. I said, “Okay, if that’s what you want.” I didn’t need any more to drink – I was fine as I was – but if he needed or wanted some, then that was up to him. He left and said he would call me when he gets back, and asked for my number.
I couldn’t catch Shadow so I went home. Once inside the house I felt like I needed to have a sleep. I truly did need to sleep, as the alcohol was now starting to work. I’m a larger woman, whose body can handle much more alcohol than a skinny chick, so I assume that had I been much lighter in weight that the effects of two cans of Jim Beam Devil’s Cut would have been much worse than what they were. I lay down and had over an hour’s deep sleep, waking up naturally as the sun was going down.
It was another hour or so before my phone rang. John had got lost looking for the area that I lived in, and was wanting to know how to find his way back. The alcohol that he’d drunk had obviously affected him, seeing as how he too had drunk two cans of Devil’s Cut. It appeared that he wasn’t able to cope with as much alcohol as that, and he wasn’t coping the same way I was coping. I’d had a sleep by now, and he hadn’t. So I directed him back, thinking that we could search for Shadow again and that I could take some barbecue chicken with me to try to coax my cat out of where he was hiding.
I met John out the front and together we walked to my neighbour’s house where I began calling for Shadow to come and have something to eat. I could hear him meowing, so he was in the area, however, because John was with me he wouldn’t come out of hiding, wherever that happened to be. John tried to impress me when Shadow meowed loud enough to pinpoint his location by going over to where the sound came from, however, Shadow must have sensed that this man wasn’t someone he wanted to let catch him and so he took off.
John offered me a beer, however, I don’t drink beer. It’s not a flavour that I like at all. Without lemonade in it, to me beer tastes disgusting, so I declined. He tried to insist, but nothing in the world will tempt me to drink beer that doesn’t have lemonade in it. So that left more beer for him to drink, which he did. During the time that I was calling for Shadow he tried to hold my hand and also slapped me lightly on my rear, which I didn’t like at all. As we walked back up the hill I told him to keep his hands off me, that the way he had touched me was reserved only for men with whom I have a relationship, and that he wasn’t someone that I was in a relationship with. I told him not to cross my boundaries. He began to argue with me.
The discussion escalated into a situation where I had to yell at him to go home. He wouldn’t leave me alone. It was only for the fact that he’d kept drinking beer after the first two cans of Devil’s Cut that he wasn’t fully able to control his actions, otherwise I suspect I may have had to deal with someone who might have tried to rape me. During the now quite heated conversation, he admitted that when he had seen me at the bus stop, that he’d decided that he wanted me there and then and had set out to get me. He said that he thought that if he could catch my cat that I’d just fall into his arms and he’d get to sleep with me that night. Please excuse the expression, but fuck that idea. “No John, I am not someone whom you can try to get drunk then have your evil way with. I’m way too smart for that, and I out-smarted you, you nasty man. As you were being given no other option but to go home, down came the mask and I got to see who you really are. Out came all the nastiness that you’d been hiding up until that point. Thank God that I didn’t let you get close to me.”
My teacher would have said to me “Well all the signs were there, you know.” Just by the very fact that the drink was called Devil’s Cut (which I later discovered has a 66.6% alcohol content), there were enough signs warning me not to trust this guy. Ladies, it is signs like this that you need to watch out for when dealing with people that you have only just met. One thing that I know is that evil people will always announce ahead of time what they intend to do. It’s a spiritual law that the Dark has to announce what it is going to do before it is done, so look out for those signs and listen to what is said. People who are manipulated by the Dark can do nothing but obey that spiritual law, so you’ll always see ahead of time what the situation is likely to become as long as you keep your awareness levels up.
I’m going to put this guy’s number here so that anyone who does a search on his number can know not to trust him. I have very little information on the guy apart from a phone number and the fact that he is about 42 years old and lives in Wollongong city not far from Woolworths on Burelli Street, but if putting his number here saves just one woman from a similar fate, then I’ve done my job as a good Samaritan. Here’s the Australian mobile telephone number for John the predator: 0478701349.
Be wise, trust your instincts and stay safe ladies, stay safe.
