Protecting the Perpetrator

Protecting the Perpetrator

This is a story that shows an example of a victim of domestic violence protecting the perpetrator of the violence used against her. Protecting your abuser won’t help break the cycle. Be brave and tell people who can help you to escape his violent abuse.

It wаѕ lаtе оnе еvеnіng аnd hеr ѕроuѕе bеgаn tо rаnt аnd rаvе аbоut hеr јоb; а јоb whісh rеquіrеd оvеrtіmе hоurѕ but раіd еxtrеmеlу wеll. The Repeating Pattern of Abuse

The repeating pattern of abuse can last for years.

the repeating pattern of abuse

Don’t be a statistic.

Breaking the repeating pattern of abuse can take a lifetime. If you witnessed your mother being abused, chances are that you too will be abused, especially if either one or both parents were abusive towards you as well. You’ll repeat the family patterns until you break them, and you’ll pass them down to your own children. Making sure that this doesn’t happen requires awareness and a commitment to your own healing. It requires pulling out of the hustle and bustle of life in order to take time to work upon yourself. It requires developing discipline, and making your quest all about fixing yourself so that you can heal not only your own life, but affect the generations to come. Continue reading

Domestic Abuse Caught on Camera

Domestic Abuse Caught on Camera

Panorama reveals harrowing footage and other evidence of domestic violence incidents that now account for a third of all recorded assaults with injury in England and Wales. Filmed by police response teams equipped with body-worn video cameras, this new style of evidence gathering is helping to bring perpetrators to justice. But years of coercive control and terror often lie behind the violence. Panorama hears from wives, mothers and children who have also endured non-violent domestic abuse, which is now likely to be made a criminal offence in its own right.

If you, or someone you know, has been affected by the issues raised in this video about domestic abuse, contact an organisation close to you.

It was a horrific experience that the woman in this video went through. It is very typical of many cases of domestic abuse for the woman to feel that she can’t talk to anyone about what is going on. Also, it is typical that she won’t tell the police what is happening to her for fear of repercussions from her violent partner.  Continue reading

Escaping Family Violence

Escaping Family Violence

Violence doesn’t only occur between married or relationship partners, be they heterosexual, gay or lesbian. It also happens between adult siblings, cousins and it occurs from parents to children, even as adults. Violence doesn’t only come in the form of physical violence either. It can also appear as psychological and emotional violence. Escaping Family Violence is just as tricky as escaping violence in a spousal relationship.

Like in the movie Harry Potter, many Indigo children are born into families that are essentially “Muggles”, who don’t understand the abilities of Indigo children or their advanced spirituality. They not only don’t understand, they simply can’t understand because they don’t have the capacity to understand the mind of an Indigo child or adult.  It is beyond them.

The following story is based on one told to me by one of our readers about his own experience of violence, suffered at the hands of his parents and his brother, causing problems in his life between him and those he loves, ending up with him into a mental institution. It’s a story that occurs often when someone is gifted. It’s a story not to ignore. All names and identifying features of the story have been changed. Continue reading
